We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Collection and disclosure of personal information

Axis is collecting your personal and financial information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The personal information we collect is necessary for the provision of our services, including:

  • To facilitate the integration and use of EFTPOS services via our partner.
  • Full name, contact details and address
  • Employment and business details
  • Financial information (e.g income, assets, liabilities)
  • Details of your lending and transaction history
  • And any supporting documents to obtain finance etc.

Information will be collected via physical hard copy, Soft copy (electronically). This is to enable Axis Financial Solutions to assist you in obtaining finance.

Axis Financial Solutions will assist with product or services you are applying for and during the relationship with Axis Financial Solutions the use to disclose your information.

Axis Financial Solutions will communicate and correspond with you via phone, mail, email and SMS over the course of the relationship with Axis Financial Solution.

We may disclose personal information to third parties, including service providers that support our EFTPOS and point-of-sale solutions.

Where you are a Guarantor, Axis Financial Solutions is collecting your information to enable it to assess you as a guarantor for an application for credit. Without this information Axis Financial Solutions may not be able to consider or assist in this application.

Collection of the above information will be to assist you obtaining finance as outlined in the Terms of Engagement and the Preliminary Assessment & Product Recommendation.

You may request access to your information by calling Axis Financial Solutions or by sending an email to admin@axisfs.com.au. Access will be granted in accordance to the Privacy Amendment Act 2014 for a reasonable fee. If the information is inaccurate in any way you may request for it to be corrected.

Axis Financial Solutions may disclose your personal information collected in the course of the relationship with Axis Financial Solutions (including information about your credit worthiness, history standing or capacity etc.) to:

Any credit provider to assess a credit application, to assess your credit worthiness to assist you avoid default on your obligations or inform them of your default;

Any contractor or service provider Axis Financial Solutions or Lender engages to carry or assists its functions or activities;

  • Credit Reporting Agencies;
  • Mortgage Insurers;
  • Solicitors or Real Estate Agents assisting in functions of obtaining finance;
  • Any credit provider for any purpose you have agreed to;
  • An intending guarantor, to enable that person to consider whether or not to act as a guarantor, or offer property as security for a credit product that you’re or the joint borrower have applied;
  • Other persons Axis Financial Solutions is authorised or required by law to disclose information to (and other persons where you have consented to the disclosure); and
  • Any third party providing you with product or service in relation to the lender product.

When all the necessary documents have been signed and received Axis Financial Solutions processes this information electronically either via the Mercury System or the Lenders Direct Online Application Processing System. Your personal data is entered into this system and electronically forwarded to the lender and in the instance of Mercury Process on (Connective’s Server). Connective as outlined in Terms of Engagement and Preliminary Assessment is P&D Financial Solutions Pty Limited Aggregator. Upon the electronic submission to the lender all supporting documents are forwarded to lender either by Fax or email.

Axis Financial Solutions may call on this information over time to review your file and to further assist you in obtaining your personal and financial goals.

 

Retention of Personal Information

We will only retain your personal information as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose outlined in the Privacy Policy, or as required by law. Once your information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identity it.

 

Security of Personal Information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss as well as from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no data transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

Privacy Consent

By agreeing to the Terms of Engagement, you consent to Axis Financial Solutions disclosing your information to the following persons.

Approved Credit Provider – which you are seeking finance from. The Credit provider may also disclose any information about your credit arrangement (including your current debts i.e. loan balances) to the approved credit provider, Lenders mortgage Insurer or its officers to further your application.

Credit Reporting Agency – to enable Axis Financial Solutions if the applicant/guarantor is credit worthy.

Legal Representative – Your solicitor or conveyancer

Other –

  • Obtain account information (including payment due dates and amounts), statements, forms or payout figures
  • Seek and exchange information about you and your loan(s) with us (including information related to your consumer and/or commercial credit, financial affairs or sensitive information); and negotiate with us and enter into payment variations that are binding on you and related to your account(s)

Storage of Your Information:

At Axis Financial Solutions, we take the security and confidentiality of your personal information seriously. Your information is stored securely both on-site and, in the cloud, ensuring it is automatically backed up and protected. 

  • Physical Records: Any hard copies of your personal information are stored securely on our premises. After seven (7) years, all hard copy records are professionally destroyed by a certified document destruction specialist. 
  • Digital Records: Your information is also stored on local computer systems and in secure cloud servers, with automatic backups to protect against data loss. 
  • Retention Period: Personal information is retained for seven (7) years in accordance with regulatory requirements, after which it is safely and securely destroyed. 

Cloud Storage Disclaimer:
While we implement robust security measures, including encryption and access controls, no electronic storage system is completely risk-free. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept that some of your information will be stored in the cloud. 

All information is managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles, ensuring your data remains confidential and secure.
